My slippery hair

My hair is fine but lots of it and about bra strap length. When I put it up it just wants to fall down again. I find putting it up higher on the head and fixing it with something horizontally usually holds best but I am working on my stick technique and it is improving. Getting a U pin was a revelation, it gives a secure hold vertically, but because I have to twist my hair round so many times for a french pleat my styles end up slipping about and getting loose before I’ve secured them. I’m working on it.
